What VPN did you install?

How did you install it?

How did you configure the VPN?

What is your method for searching for an available network?

I installed Proton VPN, Open VPN
I installed it through add/remove programs
I did not configure the vpn
By pressing the internet button

It also seems to happen sometimes when I do not have a vpn installed, but restarting my pc sometimes help

I don’t know what you did in your testing…undo it. Remove any VPN applications you installed on your “SELF” and reboot your system. The starting point is a “clean” system with a working wifi connection.

Beginner friendly version for ProtonVPN via Octopi:

  1. Open octopi → search for protonvpn-gui → right click on it → Install.

  2. Click the green tick in the toolbar and confirm the confirmation dialog with “Yes” and wait until it is finished. Reboot your system.

  3. Connect to the Internet via wifi.

  4. In Plasma: Application Launcher → Internet → Proton VPN. Enter your access data and connect to a server of your choice.

Just adding this here to note. I don’t know about ProtonVPN, but some VPN clients (VPN Unlimited for example) are still using Ubuntu’s OpenSSL 1.XXX versions, where Arch moved to OpenSSL 3.XXX and this breaks OpenVPN clients still using the older version.

If this is the case, see if you can switch to another protocol, I had to switch to; I2TP/IPsec.

Hi.

I can confirm this is working. This app working on linux but very slowly start and only support openvpn. Wireguard not yet.

I just installed this now because with the manually configured wireguard for unknown reason is just no internet connection. Wifi is ok, Wireguard is okay, but no internet. This problem is started when was some changes with network manager in garuda. after this changes i was not able use wireguard.

I used this methond: wg-quick

somebody has some idea why is not working anymore? Or what package missing?
