Volume jumps up and down

There is one lingering problem that I haven't found a solution to.

Every now and then (very rarely), the volume starts jumping up to 100% and down to 0%. The rest of the time it works perfectly fine.

I thought it could be xanmod kernel, that gives me another audio glitching sound problem when I open the audio panel. I switched back to zen kernel and saw the same problem again, so that discards that.

Perhaps it's the Corsair K95 Platinum keyboard sending wheel signals? Closed ckb-next and the volume wheel doesn't work anymore, and the volume keeps jumping. That discards that.

It might happen after 1 or 2 days of use, seemingly randomly, so it's very hard to reproduce. Yesterday I had to continually fight with the volume just to be able to finish watching a video.

Any idea what could be causing this?
