Could not open /dev/vmmon:

I've download vmware-host-modules but as soon as I try to install the mod I get the following error:

i've tried to install linux / linux-headers but not working too

Any idea please ?

Hi @AdminSec, VMware published an article which addresses this issue, see if it is any help: VMware Knowledge Base

It looks like a related service is failing as well:

I’m not sure if that is related to the specific problem you are having or not, but if you don’t get anywhere with the article above I would troubleshoot the failed service next.

After trying to resolv the issue, i can't check for modules vmmon/vmnet

modinfo: ERROR: Module vmmon not found.

After reinstall vmware-workstation i can see :

And

Before using VMware, you need to reboot or load vmw_vmci and vmmon kernel modules (in a terminal on root: modprobe -a vmw_vmci vmmon)

So i' think my problem is about missing autoconf.h
