VLC NOT starting at ALL

The issue is simple- VLC Media Player by Videolan doesn't work at all doesn't even start/ launches any interface or anything
Tried different repos/sources, tried to built it from git too, restart, reinstall multiple times, changing kernels, etc but it just persists
Also I use MPV and SMPlayer already. Just that VLC I like to work on my PC. Got even printer working and wifi adapter.
This small issue. Please HELP..
I will try all suggestions. My competency-Using linux lightly for 1 years but made switch 3 months back finally fully

Run vlc from a terminal and see if an error appears there.

When VLC initially fails to load, just uninstalling it does not remove the old configs it commonly leaves behind. When that happens, no amount of re-installing/removing will help. You'll also have to delete the configs, found, curiously, under .config in userland. Then reinstall.
