Vim color scheme and syntax highlighting broken after garuda-update yesterday

Hi all,

After running garuda-update yesterday, my Vim colors are all messed up. Mostly blue now for some reason, and syntax highlighting doesn't seem to work as before. The colors and highlighting seem to have no pattern or obvious reason why they look this way now.

Is there an easy way to revert the Vim settings back to Garuda's defaults?
I've made no customization to the settings, as I liked the default colors set by Garuda, and syntax highlighting worked great before. But now it just doesn't seem to highlight correctly at all. And the color scheme doesn't make any sense.

I checked the Arch Wiki re: Vim Configuration. I don't have a .vimrc in my home dir (Did it ever exist or does Garuda set this up elsewhere?) I also have never fiddled with any Vim settings like what's in /etc or /usr/share so I'm assuming all that is default (set either by Vim itself or by Garuda, I'm assuming)

Any hints on how to get this fixed would be great. I don't mind noodling with settings or creating a .vimrc if I have to, but I have no idea what to put in the config file to make it look & work how Garuda set it up by default.

Hi there, welcome to the forum.
Could it be this bug? Check also the upstream one.

Well, dang! I bet that's the problem. I'll check the suggested workaround and update here...

@filo
Ok, I just used Snapper to revert /usr/share/vim/vim90/syntax/sh.vim back to a version from 02/12, and that did the trick! The Vim colors and syntax highlighting are back to normal. Thank you for your help!
