USB mouse stopped working this morning (Solved)

Good morning, my USB mouse stopped working this morning, and I am stumped as to how to get it working again, last night it was working fine, and the builtin trackpad was (and is) working just fine, but this morning - nothing.

I’ve swapped out the battery with a new one, that didn’t do anything.
I’ve swapped out the mouse with a new one (and a new battery) that also did nothing.
I’ve tried using different USB ports on the laptop, also did nothing.

I swear it’s almost like the system is simply ignoring the mouse as an input device.

Any advice or aid would be amazing, thank you:

The output of lsusb shows the mouse when the receiver is plugged in:

You can try last working snapshot and check the update list from garuda-update.
BTW you did not post Garuda-inxi just a part .

I used a snapshot that was from 10 days ago (when the mouse was working fine), I’m getting the same bahavior from the mice.

I ran a full garuda update from the CLI, and rebooted the laptop without any change in the mouse behavior.

I disconnected the receiver and this is the output from dmesg | grep -i usb

What if you try the LTS kernel?

sudo pacman -S linux-lts linux-lts-headers

and select it in the GRUB menu at the next boot?

I don’t even know where to begin…

For some odd reason, my wife’s mouse (same as mine) had bound both mice to 1 receiver (the one on her laptop) - apparently causing her much irritation while I was troubleshooting my mouse issue (I still don’t fully understand why the other two mice didn’t work but I’m back to having a running mouse.

Thank you to everyone.
