Usb 3-11: device descriptor read/64, error -71

I have dual boot here and no issues are happening on Windows. I have been using Garuda Linux for a few years.

The issue happens when I boot on Garuda Linux, I am seeing these messages:

Sometimes the computer does not boot and gets stuck forever on this message. Sometimes it does boot but take several minutes. Sometimes it boots after a few seconds. I can’t see a pattern here.

Just remove the USB device (USB-tethering, Smartphone?), or change kernel.

At last, from template, only one problem per thread

Hello, I edited the original post to only talk about the Usb 3-11: device descriptor read/64, error -71 error. And I created another topic to discuss the HDMI problem.

Just remove the USB device (USB-tethering, Smartphone?), or change kernel.

Even when I remove all USB devices, this message still appears, but disappears quickly in a few seconds. This never happened before.

How can I “change kernel”? I would appreciate any guidance, link or recommendation on how to do this. I don’t understand because this never happened before and I have been using Garuda Linux for years. It is not clear for me what changed or what to do to fix it.

It is very important to learn how to search in order to solve problems.

USB errors can sometimes be corrected by adding the iommu=soft kernel parameter. Search the forum or the Archwiki for the procedure involved in changing a kernel boot parameter.
