1st day on Linux so please be gentle.
I’ve been reading around and from what I gather I can somehow upgrade the kernel to better support AMD’s Zen 4 CPU’s ?
Currently in the terminal window it says I’m running a Zen 1 based kernel.
Again I am completely new to this and would really appreciate any pointers.

I think you mean Linux 6.9.5-zen1-1-zen
. This has nothing to do with the AMD kernels like linux-amd-znver3
.
We could help you better if you post your garuda-inxi

You have already installed the kernel that is best optimized for AMD Zen4 CPUs:
“Linux kernel aimed at the ZNVER4/MZEN4 AMD Ryzen CPU based hardware”
Awesome sauce, thanks for the input
