I have this error and cannot run an update.

I do not know how to fix this.

Only been browsing and gaming on this laptop, no issues until the update this morning…\

I don’t understand how the system can break without doing anything but an update. . . . .

if its a PGP issue you can try in terminal

sudo pacman -S archlinux-keyring

or you can try this it should update Keyrings aswell : update -syu

Hey,

so, you are using a non-standard kernel, have over 500 additional packages installed, and 3 failed units showing in your garuda-inxi… I’d hardly call this “break without doing anything”.

There’s an option in Garurda RANI to reset your pacman config and refresh the keyrings. Given the error message, that would be my best guess. You’ll find it in Garuda RANI → System Maintenance → Garuda update rescue tools → Garuda update fix.

After that, you could refresh your mirrows (might be redundant) and start a system update from the Common maintenance tab.

None of these should break anything. Let us know if that works. If it doesn’t there are more invasive things you can try.

Issues with “signature is marginal trust”, "signature is unknown trust", or “invalid or corrupted package”

If you're getting an error similar to "Can’t update: signature from *** is marginal trust" or "invalid or corrupted package" you probably just need to update your package signing keys: sudo pacman -Sy archlinux-keyring chaotic-keyring sudo pacman -Syu If you have added any other repositories, e.g. BlackArch, then add their keyring to the list. Also make sure your system clock is correct! Of course, it's also possible that the package file actually is corrupt. Remove it from /var/cache/pacman…

I have been updating this system for 3 years and I have never seen the packages with the prefix bluez-? What is this? why have the installed packages , for example Discord, changed to bluez-Discord?

The packages with bluez as a prefix are coming up with errors.

Does somebody know what to do?

I installed garuda-Rani MANUALLY, I tried to clear cache and run an update - but I still get the same error.

bluez is bluetooth. I think you have problems reading (ie the bluez-discord). You have a missing or corrupt key OR an out of date cache.
I don’t know why your attempt to clear the cache didn’t apparently succeed, because i don’t know exactly how you tried it.

I installed Rani and used the cache clear function.

Well, perhaps you should try the old standby, pacman.
To totally clear the cache (overboard maybe..but why do half measures)?

pacman -Scc

Then update your keyring.

pacman -S archlinux-keyring

Then if that’s successful, move on to a general update.

pacman -Syu

It is possible the file is actually corrupted on the mirror, though unlikely. I have the bluetooth packages installed, so I know they’re (at least on some mirrors) originally fine.
I’m unsure why you have broken dependencies and broken links (which may well be in someway related to your issues).
Maybe your disk is failing or filesystem is corrupted.

Why Rani didnt get installed with a system update?

It is supposed to be pre installed since the last ISO, and we didn’t take the step to replace the older tools with it yet.
