How about force removing openjdk temporarily and then reinstalling it again once update’s over?

sudo pacman -Rdd jre-openjdk
garuda-update
sudo pacman -S jre-openjdk

I did these instructions and the update worked thanks!

Not sure should I have accepted and removed jre-openjdk-headless?

sudo pacman -S jre-openjdk

Yes

Jre openjdk headless is there if you just wanna execute non gui java apps

Jre openjdk is there if you wanna execute java apps that use gui as well so a superset of headless package if you well

Jdk openjdk is there is you wanna develop Java apps along with running them. So a superset of the three.
