Unable to use pacman to acquire literally any packages

I have a MSI Thin A15 B7UC. I installed latest dragonized gaming KDE. For some reason any time I attempt to use pacman to install something it immediately freezes and locks the whole system. Also, any game I run reports as me running the 680M, which I can’t fix because I can’t use pacman to download Nvidia drivers.

Hi!

Try to do a full system upgrade with the garuda-update command. If this doesn’t work, try fixpacman.

without garuda-inxi how to help ?

  • After rebooting, post the FULL output of garuda-inxi in the body of the post (not linked externally, or collapsed with the “hide details” feature)
  • Format terminal output (including your garuda-inxi) as a code block by clicking the preformatted text button (</>), or put three tildes (~) above and below the text

open konsole (terminal) → command: garuda-inxi

Ok, I will run this command and should I reply or edit the main post?

i have added it.

fixpacman says rm: cannot remove '/var/lib/pacman/db.lck': No such file or directory

You should run now :down_arrow: to fix this.

Then reboot → and run garuda-health again to look what’s going on.
If you read garuda-health messages like yours…pls post this.

i see

ok..then manual and say yes for all dependence.

sudo pacman -S nvidia-open-dkms egl-wayland lib32-nvidia-utils lib32-opencl-nvidia nvidia-settings opencl-nvidia nvidia-utils nvidia-prime`

result = ?

as info:
you have a igpu intel and a dgpu nvidia. For your desktop and browsing use the system your igpu. For other stuff (example games) you should use nvidia-prime. I have self no knowledge about this pls ask here in forum and pls read this.

The arch wiki you should use default for searching, here the forum and of course the great www. But with Ai stuff you should make attention. As info to learn the how-to, ok..but you stay on arch based distro → rolling distro and chatgpt or other don’t know real the how-to.

as info:
this is a wrong uuid id for your swap partition (fstab file in /etc/fstab my mind)
Pls comment out with key “#” this entry in this file. It should look like this
# UUID=4fe6f677-7430-48e9-bff7-d505980afcca swap swap defaults 0 0
