Synopsis: I ran into an annoying keyring issue earlier at a very bad time and restored the only snapshot I had that was unaffected by this issue, a snapshot from the middle of last year. After I ran garuda-update and brought everything up to date, I noticed a failure to create a snapshot before upgrading the packages. I opened snapper tools and tried making a manual snapshot, nothing showed up. I then tried to do the same thing with BTRFS Assistant and got "Unable to make snapshots: IO Error (open failed path://.snapshots errno:2 (No such file or directory))." At this point I tried restoring the most recent snapshot made earlier in the night which had the keyring problem- and I still couldn't make a new snapshot afterward. I switched back to an older snapshot, ran update again. I looked around, noticed snapper-boot.service had failed to start, tried manually starting it to get the same error.
I found an earlier thread dealing with something related and consistent with that thread deleted any older timeshift/snapper snapshots that showed up under @./snapshots. This really didn't help, it still fails with the same error. I have a few subvolumes starting with @_backup but am reluctant to touch them since they're all I've got left to roll back to in case of disaster, and I feel like I'm a bit out of my depth at this point.
