Unable to install/update drivers

I recently installed Garuda KDE Dragonized edition and then wanted to install nvodia drivers from a .run file but it gave the following error:

So I uninstalled video-optimus-manager driver from hardware confiuration.
But now I am unable to remove or install any driver it gives error changes failed.

Don’t do that - use the available driver packages and/or tooling available via Garuda Hardware Manager.

Restore a working snapshot and start again from there - and this time, stick to the repo packages.

Why do you want to install/update nvidia drivers?
They seem installed and current. :man_shrugging: :thinking:

Ok this might sound stupid as I am newbie to Arch Linux myself but why don't you use Garuda Setup Assistant?
It lets you install NVIDIA drivers or It automatically install drivers on the basis of your hardware configuration. (Sorry can't remember the whole install process now but I remember I installed NVIDIA drivers through Setup Assistant Only ).

But if you don't want to use Garuda Setup Assistant you can also use "Add/Remove Software" application to install drivers.

There's no need to install drivers from unsupported external file or setup as @jonathon mentioned.

I would not recommend setup assistant as there are plenty of posts where that has also caused problems. Also since you are using a laptop:

If there’s a bug somewhere then that needs to be fixed rather than advising people to avoid a key part of Garuda’s tooling.

On the other hand, if the issues are due to user error then that’s a different problem.
