i have tried doing a clean install with both open source and proprietary drivers with my GTX 4080 card and have not been able to get it up and running.

error 10 compiling dkms modules on every kernel, even my beloved nvidia-all drivers could not fix the problem this time around.

Not sure how to get my games to run now.

Is there a way around this issue?

Hello Jeshu,
i mean you have more knowledge about nvdia issues then myself but
perhaps that help.
pls update your bios

Install linux-lts kernel + headers → reboot in this kernel →
install then nvidia-lts + related nvidia software over pacman and then ?
Or use the gui over garuda-settings → hardwareconfiguration
Also,
if you have the both packages for linux-zen-6.12.10.zen1 + headers downgrade your zen kernel and install then the nvidia stuff.

This is not helpful, please post the complete error message.

If the issue occurs with every kernel, then it probably sounds like a compiler error.

Check the error messages in the make.log under /var/lib/dkms/nvidia/ for the corresponding nvidia drivers.

btw: Am I the only one who thought at first glance that the motherboard was sponsored by Milka?

Thanks! Your advise, although i could not access this forum for a few days, for i could not get Garuda up and running any longer, was precisely what i needed to do. A Bios update fixed all the issues, and i finally could get Garuda back up and running without any further issues or mishaps.

(This makes me think that a lot of nvidia issues people are having, could be bios related, especially when it comes to newer graphic cards.)

Too many users thinking not on bios update.
Perhaps inside calameres (live-iso install) should popup a small message
about this. I read too often “old” bios versions.
