Unable to boot fresh install. Console: switching to colour frame buffer device 128x48

Hello, I have just built a new pc and I tried to install garuda Linux i3 on it (using the latest iso on fosshost) and when I try to boot it up for the first time it halts and the last thing it says is " Console: switching to colour frame buffer device 128x48". I just installed it and the installer didn't prompt me to use Nvidia or nouveau drivers for the GPU (idk if it's meant to). (Quick search said it was a probably a driver issue).

Specs are Intel 12400f, Nvidia 2080ti, Aorus z690i ultra lite ddr4. Note the CPU is igpu-less.

I didn't run the garuda-inxi command bc it isn't booting, but if necessary I can probably chroot with the live install media and run it, tho idk how useful that would be.

Thank you!

Welcome
Try to install it with the free driver. You can change later to Nvidea.
If that does not help, work through this thread.

Yes please, Laptop/Notebook?
But use simple the live ISO, no chroot needed.
Very new Hardware?

this hardware is a desktop, and new, however the gpu is old. the installer didn't give me the option to install with Nvidia or noveau drivers. I just reinstalled it to verify.

When you start the live ISO you have the choice, later in the Calamares installer you don’t.

The Nvidia driver seems to have been installed, but there are currently problems with it.
