I need to turn off my GPU in Garuda to prolong the battery. I tried disabling GPU drivers but it drastically slowed down my system. I am new to the Linux world. Another option I have is to use acpi_call to turn off GPU at boot time but I want to ask what will be its effect on my system. Also, is there any easier method exists for this operation

The Garuda defaults are for performance, not for power saving.
However, there is a "power saving tweaks" option in the Garuda Assistant. Try that.
