TTY error after logging in

Hello, I am having an issue with my garuda linux install. Upon logging in, whether that be on wayland or x11, i am greeted with a blinking tty and occasionally the rare [ OK ] indicating that it finished a process, after logging in. About 30 seconds later it gives me the DE for roughly a minute and logs me out, most of the time to a black screen, and sometimes to the log in menu.

I’m not certain on this but I believe it might be tied to my external hard drive which I’ve encrypted with LUKS. I believe this is the case because the issue sprung up about the same day I did so, as far as I can remember (I’ve been brushing this off for a while now). I’ve tried following some guides online to help me mount it at boot through crypttab and fstab all to no avail.

The issue only happens on initial log in after booting, and sometimes the second log in, on both Wayland and X11, and doesnt happen again as long as the system is on. Unplugging the device at boot makes no difference, and changing the mounting settings from KDE settings in Disks and Cameras makes no difference as well. The encrypted external hard drive is plugged in 90% of the time and leaves the house sometimes, hence why I encrypted it.

Please let me know how I can help you diagnose this issue, as I dont know where to start to be honest, I’ve been on linux for roughly 4 months now. Thanks for your time!
