Sorry, maybe I’m having a bad day or the moon was crooked tonight, but I just have to get this off my chest and there’s something to a nice little rant on Sunday morning.
Dear Mr. KDE..
why the hell do you make certain windows transparent in the default settings? If there is something behind it, the content of the transparent window in the foreground is barely legible, if at all. In a newspaper, the pages underneath don’t show through either. Why? Because it is 100% legible.
No, I don’t want a transparent terminal, application menu, notification window whatever. If you think you have to do something like this anyway, then please do it with providing an easy and intuitive configuration option for the user.

One thing to test change the plasma style and generate a notification an see if its still like that I know some depending on there age do stuff like that. Or if they some how share something with spectacle in code they have no blur since in better blur you have to exclude spectacle or recording an other bits dont work right.
though with the changes to kde 6 an blur in general it might be deeper then that more so since the changes with contrast merging with blur in 6.4
I tried a few before ranting, played a bit around with window rules too - no change.
This window was transparent even before Plasma 6.4. But it was not as pronounced. Now, it is completely transparent.
But it’s nothing anyone here needs to worry about. Yes, it annoys me, but nobody should waste too much time on it. I don’t do it anymore, either.
As I wrote above, I just wanted to express my frustration because I don’t understand the point of making everything transparent. The anger wouldn’t be there if a simple setting option would exist. But it is like it is for now.
After the 6.4 Update my Terminal and App Launcher was Trancparenced too. I just go in Settings activated BLUR in Window Decoration and it helped me with it. I was also wondering why this happened and why would someone like it lol .
