Thunderbolt docking station

I’m trying to usa with my PC a thunderbolt Docking.
The PC has a TB4 port and the docking is TB3.
I activate TB in the BIOS and set permission to use it to any device and anyone.

On the SW-side what should i do to activate it ?
I mean now the devices connected to the docking are not seen by the PC …
How can i check the connection on the SW-side ?

It may be the case that peripherals connected to the docking station are only recognized when booting with the docking station. Docking with the system running may not work.
I have no idea if this is the case, description of the problem is a bit vague.
Besides… INXI - I need you tonight
