There are no Sound Systemsettings anymore

I tryed out some Equalizers a few days ago. In the progress of finding the one which works the best for me I installed and deinstalled pipewire for pulse and the other way around.

When I found the best equalizer, for me it was EasyEffects, everything worked perfectly fine.

But the next day I started my Computer and I cant find the sound settings as well as the sound miniprogramm in the Top Panel anymore. So I cant change the output device how I used to. Im still able to change it with EasyEffects but thats quite annoying.

I already tryed going in to a snapshot but I tryed so many different things that the auto creating adn deleting of snapshots deleted the working one.

I also tryed deleating all sound things like pipewire, pulse and alsa. But the Systemsettings are not coming back. Also deleting EasyEffects does not help. Already tryed to find someone with the same issue but there only where people who didnt have sounds or there sound is bugging but thats not true for me.

Here are some pics of what I see now:

TopPanel
Before my problem accured there where Settings to change the Volume of the different Audiooutputs and also of programs.
Thanks for your help guys :crown:

Noticed almost the same thing. I still have the sound module in System Settings, but it’s blank with nothing but the ‘Configure Volume Controls…’ button in the top right and the help button on the bottom left of the window.

IDK about, but works here

Did the Button (1) exist? try on / off
But no Sound is … :scream:

Getting flashbacks with the sound settings there. Those where quite usefull. But I still got sound but the settings are gone. I also cant change volume with my keyboard anymore. I need to change them in my equalizer or on my headsets directly.

The first time I looked at ‘Sound’ in the System Settings, it was also blank (same as description above). There was no ‘Button(1)’.
I then selected ‘Display & Monitor’, were the ‘Display configuration - System Settings’ was populated.
I went back to ‘Sound’ which now looks properly populated. There is still no 'Button(1) for me (this might be hardware related).

Have the same behavior here as @ARClite

No such issues on my side (full AMD desktop system):

Did anyone play with these settings in Garuda Assistant, or otherwise changed settings to ALSA or PulseAudio?

No, looks same as yours. Also full AMD desktop. Got a new monitor these days and switched from HDMI to DP. Maybe this causes the issue. Will try with HDMI cable tomorrow.

I´m on my Lenovo T430 laptop now and have the same issue. So I don’t think the problem is caused by the graphical interface used. I also don’t think it’s a Garuda thing, but caused by KDE.

Hello I have the same problem, only for much longer. I cannot turn on the microphone.

I have seen that KDE/Qt had an update not so long ago.

Found this, though, I am still on Qt 6.7.3 (mentioned fault is supposedly with 6.8):

No button.

This fixed it. Probably related the recent attempts to fix the System Settings module shenanigans.

I also took a look at this. In your link I found a bug report: 493266 – kcm_pulseaudio Doesn't Load on the First Launch with Qt 6.8

In the bug report it says

“This regression has trickled down to Qt 6.7.3”

thats also the Qt version im on.
But thanks for the info. So probably I didnt brick it while changing somethings with my audio.
It was just the update I did along side.
