The editor for writing new posts is always in WYSIWYG mode, so it doesn’t let me view or write code and markup directly. It also doesn’t let me copy formatted text as markup. It recognises some markup as you type but it’s very buggy. Could you at least provide an option to revert to the old one?

I agree @Kresimir, it is verry buggy.

Change to Mark Down to get back the correct format for terminal text.
It opens here every time with Mark Down and preview window.
If this did not solve your problem, I did not understand the question

Even in markdown mode it can be buggy when tying to use paired backticks to indicate code in a sentence.
