I shut down my PC and came back a few hours later. Got this when I rebooted:
I get the same thing even when using older BTRFS snapshots. I rebooted the PC multiple times since the last update without issues. (Which was the manual intervention with linix-firmware.) I’ve got no idea what caused the issue. Since the update I’ve only done basic things like gaming, listening to music, web browsing, and image cropping in Krita.
I booted into a Garuda live USB and was unable to mount my primary NVME drive (with Garuda installed). I tried both with Dolphin and in a command line. So much for trying to chroot… Not being able to chroot made Garuda Boot Repair fail as well.
I ran a short test with smartctl
and it passed, so it doesn’t appear to be a hardware issue. I’m running a long one now and will update this post if it fails.
I attached all the logs I thought might be helpful. I’ve got no idea what happened and I’m far from an expert on any of this.
When trying to mount my drive with “sudo mount /dev/nvme0n1p1 /mnt/broken
” I get this output:
mount: /mnt/broken: can't read superblock on /dev/nvme0n1p1.
dmesg(1) may have more information after failed mount system call.
Output from dmesg
:
