System stuck after shutdown

Hi guys, for a few days now, after turning it off, it freezes here and I have to force it to turn off.

Hi @Pasqui , Does the issue start occurring after a recent system update? If it did, try rolling back to a previous snapshot to see if the problem resolves.

→ if it did please check and share what packages causing the problem

To gather more information, you could remove the quiet boot parameter and also check the journal (-b -1 for the previous boot).
You could also try if you have the same problem in an x11 session at login, as opposed to wayland.
If so, you could also try installing and booting onto a different kernel, e.g. linux-lts (install also linux-lts-headers).
Another thing you could try is to boot to a TTY and then shutdown. In this case the problem could be SDDM or nvidia.

Hey can you remove packagekit from your system and test if it affects anything? This won’t be the first time I have seen this package causing issues for it’s users.

My PC is not slowed down and no process uses excess RAM and CPU.
It only remains blocked after the shutdown phase (oddly enough when Bluetooth is active).

The “funny” thing is that it also changes the DHCP setting in the BIOS, so WOL no longer works. Only

sudo poweroff

works for me.
It is also strange that on a multiboot computer it only happens with KDE and Hyprland and not with i3wm.
