System Still Freezes on Raptor (Monitors Won't Wake)

Hi all,

I'm still having this issue where sometimes the system becomes unresponsive when the monitors go into power-saving mode. I updated my BIOS to the latest version, and I reinstalled the operating system after Raptor came out.

I connect the Garuda (KDE) laptop to two monitors with Thunderbird, but after it freezes like this, I can't get the system to respond even after unplugging it from the monitors (the laptop's keyboard or mousepad won't do anything; I have to hold down the power button to shut down).

Does anyone have any advice? Is this a known issue? I can't find any evidence of others having this issue by searching this forum, but I'm running this on a 2022 Lenovo ThinkPad E15. And I'm using the open-source drivers. So it seems odd to have this issue given that I'm using reasonably new hardware with the latest BIOS and with the latest version of Garuda.

If I can't figure this out, I think I'll see if Garuda Cinnamon works better before looking into other distros.

Thank you!

Iā€™d try this:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Laptop/Lenovo#ThinkPad_E15_Gen_2
Maybe unrelated but worths a shot.
Also a kernel switch would be worth trying.
Edit: My bad, that suggestion as-is is not applicable with dracut (you need to check if there is an equivalent module).

Oh thank you so much! I totally missed that Wiki page.
