System Resets & MCE Errors in Log

Hello,

I’ve recently installed Garuda linux and appear to be having hardware issues. I’m fairly certain that these issues persisted with my prior Windows 10 installation, but I never observed any direct crashes on Windows 10. I’ve directly observed the issue once while simply having a web browser open on Garuda. The workstation itself completely resets as if someone pushed the reset switch or power button. No shutdown, no error, just all of a sudden back to the BIOS startup screen.

The remainder of the times I suspect the issue has occurred, I have come into the room with the workstation sitting at the drive encryption prompt waiting for me to enter my password to continue the boot process.

After the restart occurs, the computer normally runs for 15-18 hours until the restart occurs. My current thinking was possibly overheating. But I’m not sure since it appears to happen even with the computer seemingly in a low usage state.

After some research, I found the following errors using journalctl -p 0:

[SOLVED] microcode update does not work? - Arch Linux Forums

New kernel is out 6.6 or try lts kernel, did you patch the kernel?

Enable microcode support

Install the amd-ucode package to enable microcode updates and enable it with the help of the Microcode page. These updates provide bug fixes that can be critical to the stability of your system.
It is highly recommended to use it despite it being proprietary.

I have not patched the kernel. I do see that the amd-ucode package is installed.
