Ran across this looking for the answer to a seperate issue (which I haven't found, so I'll make a post), but wanted to add that my systems, too, also pull git packages for pretty much everything. I installed dr460nized on two different machines and they both do the same thing, I thought it was just par for the course. I haven't changed any settings that would relate to git versus not git. My upgrades work (well, they succeed in upgrading) though. I'm very interested in not using git stuff all the time.

Edited to add that not using git will likely fix my other problems, so I'll wait for a response here before cluttering up the forum with another post when the answer might well just be "don't use git for everything."
