Specifically I am getting this message when I am running garuda-update. I am wondering what it is and if it is something I should configure? What are the benefits if any? Seemed a bit involved (from a google search) and I don’t like to mess with my initramfs config if I do not have to. What say you?

At this time, dracut wasn’t implemented as default but garuda-health take a look on dracut → result is then this message.

That’s not a error. You can switch to dracut but not a must. (my mind)
Over garuda-health --fix you can do this.

So I attempted the install dracut and it was successful however when I reboot my system I got prompted multiple times for my luks decrypt pw. After I input the initial one (as usual), I got prompted for several more on different UUIDs (guessing there was some sort of mismatch).

Anyways, after inputting it again it just gave a wheel of death for several minutes with no timeout and no reboot. I was able to replicate this a couple times with each reboot.

Alas, snappertools to the rescue so here I am with initramfs again lol. Should have trusted my initial instincts but it was a good exercise I guess.

I was curious what benefits dracut offers. Why would it cause my system to ask for multiple decrypts upon boot?

That’s the reason why (my mind)
short explanation
dracut generate then multiple entrys for your lurks inside initramfs. (btrfs / subvolumes)
