Press CTRL+ALT+F3
Try logging in on the root account, then:
pacman -Syyuu
That command is not for general use, but is reserverved for rare occasions. Best not to use it unless you have been requested to do so.
Hopefully after updating, your issue may be corrected. If not then more complicated measures must be taken.
