I Had same problem after Update grub => 2:2.06.r322.gd9b.. so i think its a bug on the grub update my solution was but live iso and then restored a snapshot and put grub to IgnorePkg on pacman.conf.

Weird thing is, I'm also having a FDE setup which requires me to enter my encryption password before going to the GRUB screen - no issues even with updated GRUB
