Struggling with open vpn

I am trying to configure something from portmap.io
the instructions are simple - in the site -

USING OPENVPN TUNNEL

  1. Install OpenVPN software
  2. Download configuration file
  3. Create a mapping rule
  4. Start OpenVPN tunnel using the file
openvpn --config myconfig.ovpn

When I give sudo openvpn --config myconfig.ovpn

I get
2022-01-16 01:08:11 Initialization Sequence Completed and then the cursor blinks --

I am not sure how to activate and start using the Open VPN - in the network section I have to select VPN right ? Can anyone point me to a tutorial or help me regarding this - I have been struggling the whole day with this. I am using the KDE version when I open settings -> connections I see wired and wi-fi - how to add a vpn connectiong there ?

IDK

Did you press the small green plus sign at the bottom?

Maybe you could check if the Arch wiki can help there.

I have often read that Linux might be free but there is a cost attached - your time and patience - but it is communities that make the journey so amazing. Any issue you run into and are stuck on the community is always there to help.
