Steam not launching

I have tried different kernels as well as reinstalling Steam but both Native and Runtime refuse to work. When I try to open them it appears on my system monitor and then disappears.

Here are my system specs:

Using the terminal to run the steam command I am confronted with this:

I'm not sure what is causing this as I have tried to reinstall the OS altogether before and that worked but that was last week and now the same issue is occurring. If anyone could lend me a hand I would appreciate it!

I see that the latest Steam update is 3 March, so the problem should come from something else more recent (else you would have encountered the problem right after installation).
Among the Steam dependencies I see e.g. nvidia-utils and lib32-nvidia-utils for the vulkan-drivers part, both updated on 23 Mar.
Do you happen to still have a snapshot from before that update?

Please reboot. There may have been critical updates that will be applied after a reboot.

You have a restart required in your inxi. try a restart and a proper upgrade garuda-update with a reboot following and try again.

Unfortunately I don't.

I have tried using garuda-update but I was confronted with this issue:

A problem with the NVIDIA drivers has been detected

It says I need to install linux-headers-6.2.8-arch1-1 package or use --kernelsourcedir option to tell DKMS where. However, I'm not sure where I find the linux header and the second option does not work.

That would be a

sudo pacman -S linux-headers

It successfully downloaded but when I try and run garuda-update I've got the same issue but now it's only appearing for kernel 6.1.21-1-lts.

I have also tried rebooting but the reboot symbol still remains on my inxi.

Reinstalling all packages via Garuda Assistant seems to have worked. I will create a snapshot and reboot my system just to make sure this is a permanent solution.

That would have been just a

sudo pacman -S linux-lts-headers

All good anyway if it works now…
