Steam Launching With Boxtron Error

Hey there, I’ve been really enjoying Garuda but I’ve had a weird error with Steam on here. Whenever I launch it (both runtime and native) I get two (2) Boxtron errors, one that tells me the game is “Not Recognized as DosBOX compatible” and the second one then tells me “Unrecognized argument: d3d12”. I’ve seen these errors launching a game in the past but I’m not launching a game when these are happening, I’m just opening the steam app. It doesn’t seem to impact functionality but it is annoying, anyone else dealt with this before? Here’s a link to the screenshots (I’m not allowed to upload images yet) Steam Errors - Album on Imgur and below is my inxi.

Right click the game you are having this error in and got to properties > compatibility > and select proton in compatibility layer instead of boxtron(dosbox)

Or run sudo pacman -R dosbox in terminal.

I’m having the same thing. Much like with OP, it happens immediately upon launching Steam itself, so there is no “game we are having this error in” to be right clicking.

Same here. For me through htop it seems a weird sub-process of steam -srt-logger-opened tries to run python3 /usr/share/boxtron/run-dosbox /home/james/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/../bin/d3ddriverquery64.exe before dying, immediately upon startup of steam, which seems very strange.

I did have it happen once as well. I’m just assuming it’s a steam bug should be patched sooner or later if it’s been reported.
