I'm having problems not just with steam, but with Heroic Games Launcher as well, no games start, but they used to. I don't know what happened, but I really need help.

My issue is that the tool itself fails, not that it isnt configured correctly
Maybe try to ask that on Reddit in r/steam or better in r/linux_gaming or so. Heroric Game Launcher might also have it's own subreddit.
Some here might be gamers, but maybe it's not enough people. Especially not enough which had the same problem. Though, it sounds familiar.
