Some feedback & Issues on Garuda Dr460nized Gaming

Howdy

Got this recommended to try out from a friend.
Got some issues with it tho the Garuda Dr460nized Gaming version.
Did not try the other ones beside the Garuda Dr460nized normal version yet as i was reinstalling all day this Gaming one
Please keep in mind i dont have it installed and i cant do nothing in it if you ask for a specific info.

Install sometimes gives an error like a bad script, did not mind it much as it did install on the second run.
After install there is the Garuda Assistant will run an update all done.
Install the software that is needed was easy.
Change my settings DPI,mouse, themes, enable firewall etc.
All good until now.

I install Firefox the normal version it gets overriten by Garuda and defaults settings based on it…even if i use my own profile it does the same.
After finishing up Lutris playing a game for a test everything was nice.
Hit the restart and everything wont work like nothing i cant explain this but nothing works in it…like it forgot it self neither i can open anything and this happened each time.
The error is “Services not found” for every single app that is installed…

I did also leave it as it is it works but as soon as i do some work on it it just brakes no matter what or how.
The Garuda Dr460nized normal version has not done this for now yet but the app installer sometimes just gives errors after errors that cant be found or the installer cant be found.(I can install them without it when it works in a way)

Its nice i like it yet for some reason it does not work out for me and i have no clue why…
Also want to say this is the first Linux that brakes so hard on me without even thinkering with it much and just like out of nothing.
I am also not a PRO or something like that as i was using Linux Mint for recovery only nothing more until now that i wanted something more.
I would also appreciate that when doing a new browser to not override its settings if possible…its to intrusive a bit

Thanks for your time !!!

I think removing this package should solve your problem:
sudo pacman -Rns garuda-browser-settings
Also without garuda-inxi people won’t be able to (always) help you.
So,

This happened to me too, there was a major upgrade to FireFox but that is not something Garuda devs have control over. You would need to report it to the app developers.

You don’t need to install the gaming version, you can just install the modules you need after the main install.

Also Welcome

Thank you.
I will sure give it a try again once i will get back to it.
I had to install it 6 times a day and i just got disappointed a bit..

Yep i think i did learn that the gaming version might not be it after all.
I just need to download the normal version and hope it does not brake the same way.

The Assistant it self done all the tweaks so i did let it do its things install everything he wants.
Did not touch nothing else or thinker with something i dont know.

Will sure give it a try again once i get back.

Thank you!!!
