If anyone else is having trouble playing videos on Invidious and similar places after a recent upgrade, the solution for me was
paru ffmpeg-compat-58
(failed to install from chaotic for me)
Hope this helps someone! 
It may be easier for most to install ffmpeg4.4 from the repos.
