Snapper : IO Error (.snapshots is not a btrfs subvolume)

Snapper fails to perform snapshots after snapshot restore.

sudo snapper -c root create --description "try"

results in

IO Error (.snapshots is not a btrfs subvolume).

The same issue occurs during pacman snapshot hooks.

I do not see @snapshots mounted as a subvolume in your mount output. It has to be there.
