Slicer AnycubicSlicerNex

Hello everyone. I wanted to install the anycubicslicernext slicer for my Cobra S1 Kombo. On the Anycubic website, there’s only the deb version for Ubuntu. So I tried installing a VM with Ubuntu and then installing the anycubicslicernext slicer. In Ubuntu, it works well, especially for network printing. I got the deb package and tried converting it for Garuda with Debtap, and it didn’t give me any errors. I started the program and noticed that the remote printer administration section remains completely blank. Has anyone tried installing this slicer? I currently use Orca, but it would be more convenient to have network printing. Thanks. My garuda-inxi

Hi, thanks, I’ve already installed it, but when I go to the workbench, it asks me to log in to Anycubic, and when I continue, the window remains completely blank. This is the error in the terminal.

Sorry but I forgot to mention that this slicer doesn’t support my printer and I noticed that it uses wine to start.

Thanks

Hi

i dont have anycubic as 3D Printer. Did you try Ultimaker Cura Slicer ? They have a appimage version of it and i use it with my Reprap and Ender 3DPrinters. i can search there over my network the Printer and ADD it and setup my profiles. I seen they have Anycubic profiles too.

uses wine to start.

i did just try the exe with bottles. No printer setup possible too.

Hi, yes, I have Cura too. I used it with my Ender 3 and Octoprint. But I bought this one, and even though their slicer is based on Orca Slicer with Linux, it doesn’t recognize network printers, only with Windows or Ubuntu 24.04.
You can modify the Anycubic firmware to be compatible with LAN, but for now I don’t want to do that. I was hoping that converting the Garuda deb package would work as well as Ubuntu, but unfortunately, as mentioned above, the network printer recognition screen remains blank. Everything else seems to work.

As info perhaps this:

Yeah . I did it easier for me . I replaced the mainboard from my printers with a Flyboard/Duet2Wifi and 5 Inch display. Coded my Firmware to my needs. It have the firmware on the SD Card. I dont need any Software anymore for Slice and print search. I start the printer it logs in my Wifi. I open the Browser type in their static IP and have access to my printers without any problems. Just use Cura Slicer and upload the file to the printer over their load file and start printing and i see all printer movements or can adjust over it too.
