Sleep the screen does not seem to work

My screens does not not go to sleep, in the power masnagement the tab “power” i have set “Turn off the screen when inactiuve for 15 minutes, 15 minutes”
Syspend when inactive for Never, Never

When i get back in the morning, the screens are still on, which definately is more then 15 minutes later.

I got a comment in a discord chat, that my kernel perhaps doesnt support it, how could i check if sleep displays (not computer) is supported by kernel, if its a kernel thing?

Some thinking i have that might be affecting this, but not sure is
Brave browser is running, have atleast one tab with a youtube/jellyfin video, but all is paused, but can have previously been playing but i paused to go do something else elsewhere.

Discord left running “open” on one of the screens.

Does not seem to matter if i close the “Revolution idle” game i run regulary or not (steam)

Trying different kernels is always a good thing to do. E.g.:

sudo pacman -S linux-lts linux-lts-headers

Then, of course, you’ll have to select it in the GRUB screen (it can be set to default if necessary, of course).

Did a test, rebooted into the LTS, changed the display sleep setting to 5 minutes, it seems like it first locked the screen and a second later the screens turned off.
So maybe whats different between the zen and lts is that my displays atleast can sleep with lts.

I have an OLED monitor, so I prefer to turn my screen off when not used. With 10 minutes of inactivity the screen turns off, a mouse movement or key press turns the screen back on (unlocked). If I press ‘Start’ and ‘l’ (MX Keys S keyboard), the screen lock turns on and 20 seconds later the screen turns off. Mouse movement turns the screen on, with a password request.

In System Settings;
Power Management
Suspend Session
When inactive: “Do nothing”
When power button pressed: “Shut down”
Display and brightness
Change screen brightness: “Not checked”
Dim automatically: “Never”
Turn off screen: “10 minutes” When locked: “20 seconds”
Other Settings
Switch to power profile: “Leave unchanged”
When inactive: “Run after 10 minutes”
Enter command or script file: - nothing entered
(seemed to have lost my line indentations 8^)

Does not exist in my configs

only have “Display” and those options doesnt exist in there.

What do you see in System Settings → Power Management →
I have:
…Suspend Session
…Display and Brightness
…Other Settings

This is what i see.

I should have looked closer, your DE is Cinnamon, mine is KDE Plasma. I made the mistake of ‘assuming’ the Power Management was going to be the same. Sorry about that!
