I'm running into an issue that seems to not be prevalent on linux from my googling, but that I can't get around. I'm having major difficulties getting slack to add workspaces. I've tried both slack-desktop and slack-electron. I'm confident the account information is correct because they are setup on my mobile and windows VM.

I've tried signing in from FireDragon, Brave, Chromium, and even Google Chrome. I can sometimes get it to add one of my two work spaces, but it's VERY hit or miss and I've been trying to get the second one added for a couple hours now. (It's not wanting to add even one of them now). Any tips or advice on how I can find what's blocking it pulling the data in or a way to manually add it in would be appreciated.

The Slack support channels would likely be the best option for getting help with Slack, especially now you have tried a number of approaches and none have worked.

Unpopular opinion, but have you tried the snap version? I know it requires installing the entire snap infrastructure, and you may not want to for just slack, but for the sake of seeing if the issue exists on an officially supported app could be useful? From what I can tell, it should work with multiple workspaces.

There also appears to be a Flatpak and an AppImage - might be worth trying those too?

If it doesn't work in Chromium/Chrome then it's unlikely to be an issue with the client itself - it's more likely to be a networking issue, or something on Slack's end.

Yeah, that is weird. I have 3 workspaces running off Chromium right now with no issue.

Sorry for delayed reply, been sick with something that is whipping my butt.

I was able to finally get it to push the data over by force making it fail until the web-login portal failed and said I could "copy login key and open slack" that one worked. I'm not sure what was hard blocking the data pass-through as I've not tweaked a ton of settings on my install; none that affect app communication perms that I'm aware of for sure. I didn't end up trying the snap install but I appreciate the option being presented, that might have been another fix. I'll just chalk it it up to ???? for now.
