Whenever I use pacman, upon reaching the end of the operation I have this spammy text at the end saying "Foreign/AUR package notification". What does this mean?
Hi there, welcome to the forum.
These are the packages in your system not (or no more) in the Arch repos, e.g. AUR packages or manually downloaded and installed packages or packages removed from the repositories after you installed them.
Not spammy text at all, but very useful information!
You have to know if a package is no more in the repo, because it will not be maintained anymore.
For the others, you are basically the maintainer, so it's a good reminder.
