Just thought i would try and create a G
Wallpaper version
I was so impressed with the animated ‘G’ that I decided to try and incorporate it into a Vivaldi theme, and by Jove it worked
I uploaded the theme for review but I’ve got a problem. The static screenshot of the logo shows nothing more than the first frame of the animation, ie a black screen - I can’t show you what it looks like until it is opened up for use after review.
Here’s an older theme…
You’ll see below the title and brief explanation the following…
…and this takes you to the original source of the image on gitlab.
I tried to link to your image in this forum but this isn’t permitted. Would it be possible for you to post the image on gitlab? This will allow it to be viewed and it will provide a preview for the image.
You must use GIMP.
The format does not fit a standard wallpaper (1920x1080)
But maybe it's enough for the theme?
Nice animation. I will try to incorporate it into splash screen or plymouth somehow. Got no idea how to do that but guess I will learn.
The webp animated image works without issue when used as a Vivaldi theme - it looks great and doesn’t need resizing. The only problem is the web page which shows a preview of the image shows nothing more than a black screen (the first frame of the animation).
Can https://forum.garudalinux.org/uploads/default/original/3X/b/f/bf4e407bd09394939a4878ad69cad7b7fedce6f0.webp be copied onto gitlab, a working preview of the animation will then be available to be viewed on the Vivaldi page.
Yes, it works - many thanks!
I like it very much.
Very nice Goes with my black/gold theme nicely. I am using the animation as my wallpaper - is there any chance of a higher resolution version? I'm running a 3440 x 1440 screen, so it's a bit pixelated
There you go
Either a mkv or higher quality avi to convert to which ever format you need.

.mkv didnot work
Im missing some apps?
Download from gitlab save .webm and work like .avi.
Thanks again for sharing
@TilliDie
Not sure why it doesn't ? Just tried download and autoplay
Did you reboot?
I absolutely love your animated cube and I'm looking to use it as a Vivaldi theme.
Would it be possible for you to upload the webp image to gitlab as shown at the image source for the following?
Also, as an idea, would it be possible for the animation to run once only? This would then show the animation only when a new tab is opened.
