Shells settings

Wheres is shells settings on Garuda?

The system says it uses bash:

$ echo $SHELL
/bin/bash
$ cat /etc/passwd | grep $USER | cut -d: -f7
/bin/bash

But the behavior is like fish:

$ abc=123
fish: Unsupported use of '='. In fish, please use 'set abc 123'.

On ~/.bashrc: echo "abc"
Don't show "abc" on new shell.

I have very specifics configs to my shells, so I need to understand how the system is working to make them.
Looks like the default shell is bash but fish is being initialized somewhere. Please, where is these settings?

It is set in the Konsole profile. You can change to a different profile, or just remove the custom command if you wish to use bash instead.

Thank you!

I got the same message so I closed everything and installed pikaur and tried to install the app I wanted and there was no issue.

Hmm, I’m not sure what message you got but it sounds like your issue is unrelated. Maybe your comment was intended for a different thread?
