It only says that the session is Wayland what i never used instead of kde if i switch the session then my screen is just staying still i waited like 10 mins and it still was freezed then i restarted my pc how can i fix this?

I think there is some confusion here.
KDE is your desktop environment and just migrated to version 6.
As psrt of this, Wayland became the default display server, as opposed to x11.
Wayland and Nvidia don’t get along very well for some devices, but x11 should work.
How are you switching?
It is an option in the login screen.
If this is what you have been doing and still doesn’t work, for Wayland try using the kernel boot parameter
nvidia-drm.modeset=1
e.g. with:

sudo cp /etc/default/grub /etc/default/grub.bak && sudo sed '/^GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=/s/"$/ nvidia-drm.modeset=1 "/g' -i /etc/default/grub && sudo update-grub

my tv didnt freezed this time when i tried switching session so the command worked for me thanks

1 question, can i safely remove wayland from the add/remove software or is this gonna break some things in the system?

No, don’t remove it.
If you use x11, Wayland is not going to bother you.
And maybe one day it will work for everybody

Everyone that doesn’t run nVidia. :smirk:

Who knew I could hold a 20-year grudge against a hardware company? Let’s see; I paid gawd-knows how much for a pair of their latest, hottest cards to run in SLI. But could I? No. Hell no. Not if I wanted to run Linux. Let’s see…$400USD in 2001 == $705.16 in 2024.

nVIDIA I WANT MY MONEY BACK!
:anger:

I still have a little bit of hope that once the more corporate serving distros drop X11 support, that Nvidia will have to listen to a bigger (and most likely just as angry) voice.

When Red Hat corp. adopts Wayland en masse, maybe.

EDIT: But think about all the bitcoin mining operations. They’re the reason nVidia stock has been so performant. Meanwhile, the U.S. is reported to be “running out of electricity.”
