Send help I'm pretty sure I removed the aur from my repository list

Please laugh at me and I have no idea how but it appears to no longer be a repository I can download from. I don't really want to reinstall the os so I am requesting aid.

Pamac does not list the aur, and octopi only lists previously installed packages from it.

The AUR is not a repo that can be added or removed.

Please run this command, and paste the full input/output into the thread:

what do I do wrong

There's is nothing wrong it's a package conflict , maybe a rebuild can fix it .

how would I initiate that?

It will be done by Garuda team here not you .
For rebouilds you should query in this thread:

okay so request the package be updated?

The Chaotic-AUR repo is missing. Is that what you meant?

This is the great problem with partially upgraded systems. Sometimes conflicts emerge which are difficult to resolve.

Let's try this one:

garuda-update remote fullfix

Hi BH
I'm just interested, what does a 'garuda-update remote fullfix' do?
Which components does it fix?

garuda-update remote fix includes fixes for the keyrings, several Pacman-related fixes including restoring Pacman configs like /etc/pacman.conf and mirror configs, and a few other configuration interventions.

garuda-update remote fullfix is the same thing, except it also reinstalls all packages which can sometimes help break out of a partially-upgraded state.

chaotic aur is there, the aur itself is not

In your update output I can see the Chaotic-AUR is missing from your repo list:

The AUR does not get added as a repo, it is just there to use or not use as you wish. You can search and download PKGBUILDs from the AUR website here: https://aur.archlinux.org, or just search for what you want using Paru or Pacseek.

Try this:

Did you click the green alien? Or check this:

To enable AUR support (that “green alien” icon on toolbar)

You’ll need to install pacaur, paru, pikaur, trizen or yay in your system. If neither of the previous tools are found Octopi will download latest “yay-bin” github binary. In KaOS, kcp will be supported out of the box.

Did you have a chance to run this command?

I was able to run garuda-update remote fullfix and it did fix the issue with the audio not updating. You are correct I am stupid and it was disabled in pamac, I was unaware of how octopi worked fully and thank you for elaborating to me. At current it appears to be fixed and I would like to thank you so much for dealing with me being an utter idiot.

No worries, glad to hear it. Don't be so hard on yourself! Nobody knows how any of this stuff works until they learn, and the whole point of the forum is to help each other do that. :slightly_smiling_face:
