First off, I’m using the dragonized version of Garuda with the KDE Plasma desktop environment. I have a second monitor mounted vertically to the left of my primary monitor at a 1920x1080 resolution rotated 90 degrees counter clockwise. My primary monitor is 1920x1080 to the right of the secondary monitor. So that creates a total desktop width of 3000x1920 and I think that’s confusing some games on launch.
Specifically, the game I’ve noticed crashing is Dead By Daylight which I’m launching on Steam using Proton. I’ve noticed that if I disable my secondary monitor, the game launches just fine. If I enable my second monitor after the game has launched, it kind of works but parts of the screen (the right side) don’t register mouse clicks anymore.
I’m guessing that the mouse clicks stop working right of 1920 pixels because it thinks that my display goes from 0 to 1920, but 0 to 1080 is on my second monitor and 1080 to 3000 is on my primary monitor.
Is it possible to make it so that my monitors are not considered to be part of one giant desktop environment? Or is there some other fix? Like perhaps some setting to tell Steam to launch the game offset to the right 1080 pixels?
