Screen Dims with Dim setting turned off

Hey Guys,

I am brand new to Garuda, however, I am not new to Linux. I have used PopOS for 2 years now and Manjaro prior to that. Likewise, I also tried Arch Linux, however, that was a very long time ago. With Garuda, I am finding a few things that I don't understand and lots of things that are new to me. One issue that I am having is that the screen dims with the dim setting turned off. Sometimes it goes so dark, I cannot see what's on my screen. I'm wondering if I am doing something wrong or if there is a fix in order to keep the dim effect off.

FYI: It happens mostly when I am surfing the web regardless of the browser I am using.

That means reboot. Do this first. There’s little we can do until you do.

Ok, I ran the update and rebooted. Now my machine won't connect to the internet. I don't have the firewall on and I have verified that my settings didn't change. Thoughts?

Does it show network link status in the system tray?

Yes. When I hover over it, it states that there is limited connectivity.

FYI: I have rebooted my router, disabled the firewall and verified settings. I also ran "sudo dmesg -w". I would post the log, but I am not sure how.

PrivateBin upper right on this page.

I am currently on my phone due to not having internet on my pc.

My internet issue has been fixed. Apparently, I was on the wrong subnet, which is odd because I was surfing the web this morning before I ran the full update. Anyways, I'm good now on that issue.

As for the Dimming issue, everything seems fine for now.

Please go ahead and close this post.

Thanks guys...
