Running into git reset --hard -q HEAD: fatal

hello
running into this error when I try to use paru

git reset --hard -q HEAD:
fatal: ambiguous argument ‘HEAD’: unknown revision or path not in the working tree.
Use ‘–’ to separate paths from revisions, like this:
‘git […] – […]’

seems to be a new issue since I reinstalled my system. another quirk since reinstallation, when the computer falls asleep and I wake it up and log in it takes me to a black screen which I can escape with the ctl alt f2 but it won’t let me into the system and makes me reboot.

thanks in advance!

You could maybe try deleting ~/.cache/paru.

upon your recommendations
