It looks like they just had a little trouble making the config file because they were trying to do it in the GUI.

Yes this is correct.
Sorry for not coming back to mark the solution quicker - got stuck watching the football..
The thread that petsam answered solved my issue - I just had problems implementing it.
And to think that last night after having no success , I was actually contemplating installing windows on this laptop instead, glad I got some sleep and started fresh again, thanks again everyone!
