Resolution with NVIDIA Driver

Hi all,
I am currently faceing the problem that the Resolution of my screen are not saved. After rebooting the settings are back to standard mode.

It doesn't matter how I try to set the resolutions via Nvidia-Settings, LXRANDR or via xorg.conf. After reboot I will find this message inside my xorg-log-files.

[   124.558] (==) NVIDIA(0): No modes were requested; the default mode "nvidia-auto-select"
[   124.560] (II) NVIDIA(0):     "DFP-6:nvidia-auto-select"
[   124.652] (II) NVIDIA(0): Setting mode "DFP-6:nvidia-auto-select"

And in this case it means that I have 3840x1080 instead of 5120x1440.

I am using the current version of the i3wm iso.

Thanks for help

Hi.

Yes a line is created afterwards in the xorg.conf which is also ignored After the next reboot.

MOD

Which line?
Post the contents of that file (and the path/name).

Hi,
ok. The link does the trick. Saved the output from nvidia-settings to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-nvidia.conf. After this it was working after reboot.

Thank for your help.
