How can it be done. By that I mean recording a video of installation on my laptop from my desktop. I have seen it on youtube, but there is no explanation of how it is done. Does anyone here on the forum know anything about how to do it.
The most straightforward, no-brainer solution would be to use an HDMI capture card. You can get a simple one for about twenty bucks. Something like this:
